Clue 2: Parks and Recreation Edition

Can you solve a murder mystery? 

Another crime took place in the Fairbanks North Star Borough – oh no! You are the town’s newest detective and we need your investigative skills to figure out which of our suspects has a secret worth killing for! The only thing is you don’t have any evidence to solve the crime... yet. Use your sleuth and prowess to collect definitive proof of the murderer, murder weapon and crime location. Clue 2 has word riddles, locked clues & more!

Clues will be hidden:
~along Eagle Trail at Tanana Lakes Recreation Area 
~at the Pioneer Park Playground
~at Snedden Memorial Park
~along the Nature Trail at Chena Lake Recreation Area River Park (North Pole)
~at the Sunriser's Rotary Playground
~along Outhouse Loop Trail at Birch Hill Recreation Area

There is no longer a lock on the clue box at Pioneer Park. We've replaced it once, but someone keeps removing it. However, the clue is still there for you to find. Please remember to be considerate while you investigate :)


Search high and low for paper clues along the trails and in the parks that will mention either a suspect, weapon or location that wasn't used in the crime. Each location has one location clue, one weapon clue and one suspect clue (except for the crime location that is!). If you find no clues at a location, you have solved where the crime took place! You will need to walk or bike on each path to make sure you don’t miss any evidence. By a process of elimination, your investigative skills will lead you to the murderer, murder weapon and crime location.

DON’T give away the answer online, we want to keep this fun going for and give everyone a chance to figure it out. Be sure to maintain appropriate social distancing while you investigate and please don't touch or remove the clues! Have fun & good luck!
