Adaptive Programs - Adaptive Open Gym We offer community-based recreation activities and leisure services specially designed for individuals who have a disability and/or special needs. Our services are designed to assist people in developing and using their leisure time in ways that enhance their health, well-being, quality of life, and independence.With the exception of Art and Swimming, most programs are geared towards adults. If you have an adolescent who wishes to participate in an adult activity, please consult with the Program Manager about the guidelines for the activity. Most parent accompanied adolescents are able to participate upon consultation. New faces are welcome and we remind all participants to have a current registration form and waiver on file with the Parks & Recreation Department.The FNSB VanTran service provides transportation to and from Adaptive Recreation Programs.
