Last Updated: Thursday, November 26th at 11:00am.

Chena Lake Recreation Area
Trails are currently excellent for snowshoes, suitable for skiing and fat biking, and somewhat usable for hiking and dog walking.

Lake trails are not available due to lack of ice thickness.

River Park Non-Motorized Trails:
The ski trails are in excellent condition, with a fresh groom and new classical skiing tracks set Wednesday 11/25. Trails are in good shape for skiing, snowshoe, fat biking, ski jor, hiking and dog walking.

Mike Agbaba Multiuse Trail:
All trail sections east of the lake were rolled on Monday 11/23. Trails are perfect for snow machine, skiing, snowshoe, fat biking, hiking and dog walking. We are still unable to groom trail sections crossing the lake due to unsuitable ice conditions.

Tanana Lakes Recreation Area
All land trails have been groomed. The ice is not thick enough to groom out on the lake. There is trail damage on the service road near the paved parking lot. This section is about 200 yards and can not be repaired until we get more snow. The walking path on the service road has been plowed.

Lake trails are not available due to lack of ice thickness.

Ice Skating Loop & Rink: NOT OPEN.

Big Dipper Ice Arena Outdoor Rink
Rink 2 has been lined for Hockey. All three outdoor rinks at the Big Dipper will be open for the Thanksgiving Holiday, though snow is in the forecast and regular maintenance of the rinks will not resume until Saturday. A Nordic ski loop has been groomed around the Kiwanis Football Field and classic tracks have been set. Lights for the ski loop are available at request, please call the skateroom at 459-1104.

Please note that we don’t operate the Zamboni if the outdoor temperatures are minus 20 or colder.
